~ 5-axis machining centres ~
What can 5-axis machining do for your shop?
The X/Y-axes on the Ken Focus 5 / Compact B / Linmax B high speed 5-axis machining centres are driven by linear motion systems with the following benefits:
- longer term accuracy and maintenance-free due to contactless motion
- shorter positioning / tool change times due to higher rapid motion rates
- shorter machining times (specially on free-form surfaces) due to higher motion speed
- higher surface quality due to higher drive rigidity and no transmission frequencies
- lower tool wear due to lower transmission vibration
- higher contouring accuracy due to lower contouring error

as the Z-axes on the above Ken high speed 5-axis machining centres are driven by two ball screws for higher material penetration levels.
